3 Indian firms out of 45 entities sanctioned by EU for ties to Russia

Three India-based firms had been amongst 45 firms sanctioned by the European Union on Thursday (23 October 2025) for suspected hyperlinks to the Russian army.

The EU imposed punitive measures towards these firms as a part of its nineteenth spherical of sanctions, a part of an effort to place financial stress on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

There was no instant response from Indian authorities to the EU’s motion.

An EU assertion stated the European Council had recognized 45 new entities that “instantly help” Russia’s military-industrial advanced by “enabling the circumvention of export restrictions on pc numerically managed (CNC) machine instruments, microelectronics, unmanned aerial autos (UAVs) and different high-technology objects”.

“These firms will likely be topic to stricter export controls, not just for objects that would contribute to the technological enhancement of Russia’s protection sector basically, but additionally for dual-purpose items,” the report stated.

“Seventeen of those organizations are situated in third nations apart from Russia,” the report stated.

Based on the EU, of those 17 entities, 12 are situated in China, together with Hong Kong, three in India and two in Thailand.

The assertion on the nineteenth sanctions package deal recognized the three Indian firms as Aerotrust Aviation Non-public Restricted, Ascend Aviation India Non-public Restricted and Shree Enterprises.
