Began manufacturing of 30 models below PLI scheme for textiles

As many as 30 textile and attire models established below the Manufacturing Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme have began manufacturing.

In line with the Union Ministry of Textiles, out of the 74 functions chosen for the scheme notified on September 24, 2021, 40 have began funding, 22 have met the prescribed threshold and 30 have began manufacturing.

The scheme, which can value Rs 10,683 crore, goals to spice up the manufacturing of attire, materials and technical textile merchandise in MMF. The full deliberate funding of the 74 models is Rs 28,711 crore with an anticipated turnover of Rs 216,760 crore and can create 2.59 billion jobs. The ministry awarded interim incentives of Rs 54 million to 2 candidates who achieved funding and return standards in 2024-25. In line with the ministry, greater than 50% of all chosen functions are within the discipline of technical textiles.

The ministry stated in a press launch that detailed undertaking studies value Rs 7,024 crore have been permitted for parks in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana below the PM MITRA Parks Plan and land allocation coverage for parks in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu has been permitted. The ministry has allotted Rs 160 million for the development of parks in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Telangana.
