The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has launched the second wave of its “nudge” marketing campaign to ship emails and messages to taxpayers to amend their returns after discovering a number of instances of taxpayers holding undeclared international belongings.

The primary version of this Non-Intrusive Knowledge Utilization Guided and Enabled (NUDGE) marketing campaign, launched in November 2024, resulted in taxpayers amending their returns and disclosing international belongings amounting to Rs 29,280 crore together with international supply revenue of Rs 1,089.88 crore, the CBDT mentioned in a launch.
