Intel introduced Monday that CEO Lip-Bu Tan will oversee the corporate’s synthetic intelligence efforts after the corporate’s chief expertise officer left the corporate to affix ChatGPT maker OpenAI.

Sachin Katti, who has led Intel’s AI efforts because the chipmaker’s restructuring in January, has joined OpenAI, he mentioned on social media website X.

“We thank Mr. Sachin for his contributions and need him nicely. Rip Bu will lead the AI ​​and Superior Applied sciences group, working carefully with the group,” Intel mentioned in an announcement.
