Bhubaneswar: A scuffle broke out between Biju Janata Dal MLAs and the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) throughout voting for the Rajya Sabha polls in Odisha.

The BJD accused the BJP of indulging in “horse buying and selling” within the Rajya Sabha polls.

“The Bharatiya Janata Occasion indulged in horse-trading and purchased some BJD MLAs to get votes. When the BJD MLAs opposed us, they fought again towards us and attacked the folks. Earlier at present, BJD chief and Chief of Opposition (LoP) in Odisha Meeting Naveen Patnaik alleged that there was irregularity throughout voting within the Rajya Sabha elections and alleged that election norms have been violated after second poll papers have been issued to members.

Naveen Patnaik instructed ANI that the MLA from Brahmagiri Meeting constituency made a mistake whereas voting.

Patnaik claimed that polling officers had issued a second poll, which was in violation of election guidelines.

Brahmagiri parliamentary constituency is presently represented by Upasna Mohapatra.

“The Brahmagiri MLA made a transparent mistake whereas voting. Nevertheless, the police officer sitting within the polling room and in cost illegally accepted her vote and issued a second poll paper. That is fully towards democratic norms and violates election guidelines,” Patnaik stated.
