Authorities sells 5% stake in Cochin Shipyard for ₹1,400 per share by way of OFS

The federal government plans to promote as much as 5 per cent stake in Cochin Shipyards at a ground worth of Rs 1,400 per share by way of an providing ranging from Tuesday (July 7, 2026).

“The federal government has introduced a suggestion on the market of Cochin Shipyards Restricted (CSL), the essential supply of which is 2.52 per cent of the paid-up shares and an extra 2.52 per cent as a greenshoe choice in case of over-purchase,” Division of Funding and Public Asset Administration (DIPAM) Secretary Arnish Chawla informed X.

The Provide for Sale (OFS) will open to non-retail buyers on July 7, 2026. Non-public buyers can place their bids on July 8, 2026.

The ground worth is ₹1,400 per share, a 7% low cost to Monday’s closing worth on the BSE.

Cochin Shipyards share worth closed at ₹1,504.75, down 1.25% from its pre-BSE closing worth on Monday (July 6, 2026).

The federal government at present holds 67.91% of CSL shares.
