The Bombay Excessive Court docket on Friday (March 29, 2026) steered the feuding Kalyani brothers to think about mediation to resolve their long-standing dispute.
Baba Kalyani, Sugandha Hiremath, Gaurishankar Kalyani and their kids have been engaged in authorized battles on varied fronts for the previous few years. At stake is ancestral wealth estimated at over Rs 1 billion.
The proposal comes whereas the federal government is contemplating an interim software in a lawsuit filed by Sugandha Hiremath looking for enforcement of the 1994 Household Settlement.
This software challenges the maintainability of her swimsuit. Justice Rajesh Patil, who heard the matter, steered that the events think about mediation to resolve this and different disputed household claims.
The Kalyani brothers’ lawyer gave a cautious response when requested for directions from his purchasers.
Lawyer Kunal Dwarkadas, instructed by Sugandha Hiremath from RJD & Companions, stated the complainant was prepared to try mediation although earlier makes an attempt at mediation had failed.
Following these responses, Justice Patil gave the Kalyani brothers a deadline of April 15, 2026, to point whether or not to approve the appointment of a mediator to resolve their 20-year-old household dispute.
