On Tuesday (December 16, 2025), the benchmark Sensex fell 533.50 factors and the broader Nifty fell to 25,860 ranges as sustained international capital outflows, weak rupee and weak international markets soured investor sentiment.

The Bombay Inventory Change (BSE) 30-share index Sensex plunged 533.50 factors or 0.63 per cent to settle at 84,679.86. Through the day, the inventory fell 592.75 factors (0.69%) to 84,620.61.

The 50-share Nationwide Inventory Change (NSE) Nifty fell 167.20 factors or 0.64% to 25,860.10.
