Chennai: Chennai Metropolitan Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly providing a bribe of Rs 350 crore to a TVK MLA to assist a no-confidence movement towards the Speaker within the Tamil Nadu Meeting.

The Tamil Nadu State Intelligence Bureau acted on data relating to an alleged conspiracy to overthrow the TVK authorities by securing the simultaneous resignation of 15 TVK MLAs.

TVK’s Uthangarai MLA N. Police stated a case has been registered towards Thirunavakarasu and two others, Naresh and Thiyagarajan, at Triplicane police station. Police are investigating whether or not extra persons are concerned.
