Navi Mumbai (NMI), India’s new greenfield airport, may have air connectivity with Tamil Nadu from December 29, 2025, with IndiGo beginning direct and every day flights from Chennai and Coimbatore.
Aviation officers stated the service on the 186-seat, all-economy Airbus A320 plane might be linked to the primary section of NMI’s 24-hour airport working hours, from 8 a.m. to eight p.m., by February 2026.
The official stated the brand new flights to NMI will present extra choices to air passengers as Mumbai is tough to function as a consequence of heavy air visitors. The airline operates 9 flights a day from Chennai and three flights a day from Coimbatore to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Worldwide Airport.
Mumbai can also be the phase the place IndiGo competes with Air India, and this would be the first time IndiGo will launch a direct flight from Mumbai to NMI.
Chennai operations for enterprise transport will depart Chennai at 6:10am on flights 6E 898/899 and return flights will depart from NMI at 7:40pm. The Coimbatore flight is 6E 860 and can depart from NMI at 9:00 AM and arrive Coimbatore at 10:45 AM. Moreover, flight 6E 861 will depart from Coimbatore at 11:15 am.
